The NCTE technology works completely contactless. We use the principle of magnetostriction, which works without maintenance and wear. Our sensors detect in real time whether a wind turbine is wearing out and provide all necessary data for optimized maintenance cycles. Rough external conditions do not matter. Our sensors work precisely and flawlessly even in high humidity, salty sea air and fluctuating temperatures.
We at Datum Electronics have been working to create highly accurate cost-effective torque sensing solutions and developed an M425 Series rotating torque sensor, to fulfill your shaft power measurement needs.
To many German companies Industry 4.0 means: We change our production facilities, turn our factory into a Smart Factory, and are fully committed to digitization and automation. An integral part of it: Smart robots that by now can do much more than just move parts from A to B. But the machines are not only getting smarter, they are also supposed to work faster and more efficiently - while being robust, resilient and as maintenance-free as possible. Every technical failure leads to expensive downtimes and slows down production. Our sensors help you to avoid such failures and optimize your robots.
In the episode 1, we have got a overview about inverse magnetostrictive torque sensors. In this episode, we are going to learn more about NCTE sensors and their advatages.
Under normal conditions, piezoelectric sensors are extremely stable and their calibrated performance characteristics do not change over time. However, often sensors are exposed to harsh environmental conditions, like mechanical shock, temperature changes, humidity etc. Therefore it is recommended to establish a recalibration cycle.
For applications where high accuracy is required, we recommend to recalibrate the accelerometer every time after use under severe conditions or at least every 2 years. In some less critical applications, for example in machine monitoring, recalibration may be unnecessary.
