The Faculty of Electrical and Electronic is one of the key faculties of Cao Thang Technical College with the formerly called Department of Electro-mechanics. Before 1975, the college had trained the Professional Department of Electrical Engineering for students studying Baccalaureate II in Engineering and students studying Electrical Engineering. In 2020, the college rearranged the organizational structure in the college of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, established with 4 subjects (Industrial Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Automation).

To improve the quality of teaching and learning and in-depth research in radio communication, the school has invested set of Practical Radio Communication Equipment of National Instruments provided by DBM.

The equipment helps final-year students and lecturers works on communication subjects as well as projects with real radio signals by using LabVIEW software and Universal Software Radio Peripheral hardware. As results of working with the equipment, users can get learned carefully theory, reconfiguring system and build radio applications by their own.
